To prevent audio feedback, the built-in speaker automatically turns off when the microphone is in use.

The TS-771 features a press-to-talk priority speech button, which not only activates the microphone but also overrides any delegate unit (TS-772) when speaking. When the speech button is in the OFF position, the microphone is disabled, but the speaker remains on, allowing the chairman to listen to the delegates. This ensures a smooth flow of communication during meetings. Additionally, the priority button activates a chime, signaling the chairman’s precedence over other delegates.

A recording output mini-jack is available for connecting a recording device, allowing for high-quality audio capture of conference proceedings. The unit also includes a ring-shaped LED on the optional microphone, indicating when the microphone is on, enhancing ease of use. Multiple chairman units can operate simultaneously, allowing for flexibility in larger conference settings.

The TS-771 is powered by a 36V DC supply from the central unit and includes controls for speech, priority, and chime functions. For further customization, two types of dedicated gooseneck microphones are available: the standard TS-773 and the longer TS-774 models, both of which can be easily integrated with the chairman unit.
