The TOA TS-781 Chairman Unit is a high-performance component designed for TOA Conference Systems, providing clear communication and effective control in meetings and conferences. When the speech button is placed in the ON position, the chairman can speak freely while the built-in speaker is disabled to prevent feedback. If the speech button is turned OFF, the microphone is disabled, but the speaker remains on, allowing the chairman to listen to voices from the delegate units (TS-782). This feature ensures smooth communication without any interruptions or feedback.

The TS-781 also includes a priority button, enabling the chairman to take precedence over any delegate units, ensuring they can speak without interference. The unit is powered by 36V DC under 30mA supplied from the central unit and includes controls for the speech button and priority button.

Two types of dedicated gooseneck microphones are available for the TS-781: the TS-773 standard type and the TS-774 long type, allowing flexibility in microphone choice based on preference and usage.
